David Moyes could be sacked if West Ham lose to Everton on Saturday

West Ham are banking on David Moyes being able to turn around the struggling Premier League club's fortunes, but Saturday's defeat against Everton could mean the end of his time as manager of the London club.
The Hammers have not won in seven Premier League games and are tied for third-worst in points with Everton. It is understood the club's board is reluctantly considering replacing the Scot despite Moyes' laudable record in Europe and finishing seventh last season.
His Everton counterpart, Frank Lampard, who started his career at the east London club, has also come under scrutiny despite being backed by Merseyside club owner Farhad Moshiri. Everton's 69-year existence in English football's top flight was at stake after a 2-1 loss to Southampton, the team's 10th defeat in 13 games in all competitions.
Moyes has clashed with some senior players this season and despite spending £160m in the summer, there are those at the club who believe his counter-attacking tactics are not suitable for the team.
