Felipe Anderson issues statement: Unable to reach contract renewal agreement with Lazio
Lazio winger Felipe Anderson took to social media to announce that he will not be renewing his contract with the club, and will be departing after his current contract expires in June this year.
In his statement, Felipe Anderson wrote: "Out of respect for Lazio and the fans who have always supported me, I want to inform you all that I have not reached a contract renewal agreement with the club. Therefore, I will be choosing a different path for the next season. I have always demonstrated my professionalism and commitment to Lazio, so I assure you that I will continue to give my all until the last day of my contract, as a tribute to this shirt. Thank you all!"
Earlier reports suggested that after his contract with Lazio expires this summer, the 31-year-old Felipe Anderson will transfer to Juventus as a free agent. However, it has been officially announced by Brazilian club Palmeiras that this Brazilian star will be joining them.
